Golf History

Golf originated in Scotland in the 15th century. The modern game is traced back to St Andrews, where golf has been played since at least 1552.

The four major championships are The Masters, the US Open, The Open Championship (British Open), and the PGA Championship. They are the most prestigious events in professional golf.
